Visual inspection
We examine the affected rooms and accessible external areas for staining, damaged finishes, mould, defective rainwater goods, cracks and other relevant signs.

Standalone inspection
Standalone inspection
Damp symptoms can have several causes, including leaks, external defects, raised ground levels, poor ventilation and condensation. Our chartered surveyor considers the building as a whole and provides an independent assessment rather than recommending a treatment product.
What the service covers
We examine the affected rooms and accessible external areas for staining, damaged finishes, mould, defective rainwater goods, cracks and other relevant signs.
Electronic readings support the inspection and are interpreted alongside the building’s materials, condition, ventilation and recent weather.
The report distinguishes symptoms from likely sources and explains where more than one issue may be contributing to the problem.
You receive clear advice on maintenance, ventilation, repair or further investigation, with urgent matters separated from longer-term improvements.
Surrey Surveyors does not sell damp-proofing work. Recommendations are based on the evidence visible at the inspection.
The survey is non-invasive. Concealed areas are not opened up, and specialist testing may be recommended where the cause cannot be established visually.
Before you book
A standalone inspection focuses on a defined concern and is not a substitute for a full Level 2 or Level 3 survey when you are buying a property. Tell us what you have noticed and we will explain which service is appropriate.

Send photographs and the property address where available, or call 01932 544569 to discuss the concern.
